Planning an internal application platform to bring business tools and workflows into a common environment.
Context
The company is looking at custom applications and better connections between the systems it already runs. Without a shared foundation, each new tool would need its own hosting, access model and support plan.
What I’ve done so far
Set the initial technical direction, created the development repository, recorded the first architecture decisions and drafted a governance approach for how internal applications get built, reviewed and supported.
Where it stands
Early stage. I’m working through business requirements and application discovery to decide which workflows come first.
